How to send a link in your email
when you have a link do place in an email or in the signature part of an email ... all you need to do is copy and paste it...this is so you don't misspell it... it is an exact address on the internet...when you see it turn blue like my links below it has the formating that makes it a click able link... to be sure you will see when the cursor (arrow) turns to a hand with a pointer finger...that shows it is a click able link! cool huh? to practice this you can send yourself an email... here is how
when you go to shop, say a red sweater at sears online ...when you find the one you want look up at the top at the address bar it starts with http://... and then it will read the site then the page, then the product/ then the color etc. it is a long group of goobly gook text but basically it is the address of that information that you can send to another person who can use that address to look up the same thing you are looking at....basically you copy the whole thing and paste it into your email to send the address so your friend can find the same place.
this is an example of a link that i sent to you to see the cardigan at sears i am buying my wife (as an example) ...all links may change in time so remember to stay current so you don't send a bad link...note the blue color ...this usually is a visual signal that it is a clickable link...when you hover over a graphic, somtimes you will see the cursor change to the hand with the pointing finger
now you have the concept, you can try it out by sending yourself a link to see if it works... the key is when you click the address bar... use the "right click" to copy and paste...when you select the address make sure the whole thing is high lighted before you right click copy...that is it! have fun... you should still have the sent link in your saved email... so if you need to have it handy later...save it... you can always place it in a word document and save it for later (to copy and paste into an email at a later date.
you can do this with anything that is on the internet ... send it on to anyone...or place it in a website as a reference to another page in the Huge book called "the internet'
i hope this is easy for you to follow and understand...have fun with your new skill!
